The tour from Schlinig to the Schliniger Kälberberg is easily accessible from our hotel, as it takes only five minutes to reach Schlinig, the starting point of this rewarding ski tour. The ski tour to the Kälberberg leads through light woodland to the beautifully located Kälberhütte and then continues across ideal touring terrain to the summit of the Kälberberg.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Kälberberg is the small mountain village of Schlinig. Schlinig can be reached from our hotel in just five minutes. It is best to park at the beginning of the village on the left-hand side (large car park).
From there, follow the road to the end of the village of Schlinig (1,738 m) and turn left below the cross-country ski centre. Immediately after the bridge, continue along the forest road (trail no. 10 – direction Monterodes). Through the beautifully snow-covered winter forest, you will reach the Kälberhütte (2,137 m) after about 1.5 hours.
From the Kälberhütte, the route continues across short, gentle alpine meadows before crossing the south-eastern ridge towards a wooden pole. This slope is about 30–35 degrees steep and snowdrifts may occur (caution!!).
Following the long south-eastern ridge, you then easily reach the summit of the Kälberberg.

The Piz Lad is situated above the Reschen Pass, close to the Austrian border. The Piz Lad offers ideal skiing terrain and, due to the south-eastern orientation of the route, it is best planned as a spring firn tour.
In recent years, the route has also become increasingly popular in mid-winter. However, good and stable conditions are essential, as the summit slope is steep and often prone to avalanches.
The view from the summit is magnificent, stretching from the Silvretta range across the peaks of the Lower Engadin, the Sesvenna group, the Ötztal Alps and the Ortler group.
Short description
The starting point of this ski tour is the village of Reschen on the Reschen Pass. The best place to park is next to the small drag lift on the left just after the village.
Follow the piste edge along the Pofel lift, then continue across meadows (keeping slightly to the right) up to the Reschner Alm.
From the Reschner Alm, the route continues at a pleasant incline across gently undulating terrain towards the Sesslatwetterkreuz, and from there leads into a flat basin below the steeper summit slope.
Crossing a slope of about 35 degrees to the right, you reach the steep summit flank (around 30 degrees). From there, continue towards the clearly visible summit cross. The final ascent requires stable snow conditions.

The tour to the Innerer Nockenkopf is located in the Rojen Valley, a popular ski touring area in the Upper Vinschgau. The Rojen Valley is especially appreciated for its many easy and short tours across wide, ideal ski touring terrain.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Innerer Nockenkopf is the small mountain village of Rojen. The easiest way to reach Rojen is from Reschen in the direction of the Schöneben ski area and from there on to the mountain hamlet of Rojen.
From the car park, follow a wide, flat trail on the right side of the valley, heading gently into the valley. Before reaching the first mountain huts, leave the path to the right and cross gentle alpine meadows to reach a prominent mountain ridge. Climb along the ridge (the lower section is somewhat steep and occasionally prone to avalanches) until you reach a flat high plateau. From there, the summit structure of the Innerer Nockenkopf already comes into view.
The summit is best reached via the left ridge (south-east ridge). The steep summit slope should only be tackled under ideal conditions.

RojenThe tour to the Piz Terza is an easy ski tour in the Swiss part of the Münstertal valley, which can also be undertaken in mid-winter when conditions are good. What makes this tour particularly attractive are the impressive views of the Ortler and the Engadin peaks, such as Piz Daint, Dora and Turettas, which characterise this scenic route.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Piz Terza is the small mountain village of Lü. Lü can be reached most easily via Taufers in the Münstertal and the Swiss section of the valley. Shortly before Fuldera, turn right towards Lü. A large car park is located in the centre of the village.
From the car park, follow the forest road towards Alp Valmorain (2,194 m / signpost Alp Tabladatsch). Alternatively, you can start by turning left at the beginning of the tour and ascend through a larch forest to reach the forest road and continue towards the alpine pasture.
From the pasture, the route first leads straight ahead and then slightly left to a small hut. The tour continues through a hollow and climbs a short steep slope to reach the depression between Muntet and Piz Terza. From there, keep to the right towards the steeper summit slope and ascend over it to the wide summit plateau of Piz Terza.

The Großer Schafkopf is located on the left side of the Langtauferer Valley and, under good conditions, is a rewarding ski tour both in mid-winter and in spring. In terms of scenery, this tour is certainly one of the most beautiful in the Langtauferer Valley. The magnificent view of the Weißkugel is the highlight of this ski tour.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Großer Schafkopf is the hamlet of Gschwell in the Langtauferer Valley. Gschwell can be reached by taking the road towards the Reschen Pass and then turning right at Graun.
The tour begins at the Alpenfriede Inn, first crossing a meadow in the direction of a mountain barn. From there, continue to the left on a gently ascending military road (no. 8) up to the tree line. Above the forest, avalanche barriers are located; several steeper slopes must be bypassed to reach a ridge (caution: avalanche risk).
From this point, the route becomes flatter and continues over a short ridge, several hollows, and beautiful slopes to the Wölfelejoch (the section below the col is steeper – caution: avalanche risk). At the col, skis are left behind, and the final ascent to the summit is made along the west ridge, which requires surefootedness.

The tour to the Glockhauser is one of the easier and shorter ski tours in the Langtauferer Valley. Thanks to its ideal terrain, this route is among the most popular mid-winter tours in Langtaufers. It is also highly recommended as a spring firn tour.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Großer Schafkopf is Melag, at the very end of the Langtauferer Valley. To reach Melag, drive towards the Reschen Pass and turn right at Graun into the rear part of the Langtauferer Valley. A large car park is available in Melag.
From the car park, the route starts across a meadow to the end of an old drag lift. From there, turn right (following the summer trail) and traverse a steep slope to reach a wayside cross. Continue from there into the upper valley, keeping to the left.
From this point, the trail leads between large rocks through a short gully and further along a ridge into a hollow. Below the Western Hennesiglkopf, traverse towards the summit slope of the Glockhauser. The summit slope is best climbed via the left or south‑western flank.
Variant
In good conditions, the descent can also be made via the Schönkar valley, offering wonderful slopes.

In winter, the unspoilt Matschertal valley offers many beautiful yet also demanding ski touring destinations. The tour to the Upiakopf is certainly one of the easier routes in this area, but it should still not be underestimated.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Upiakopf is the Glieshof, located at the very end of the Matschertal valley. The Glieshof can be reached via Mals and Tartsch, continuing through Matsch to the upper end of the valley.
From the Glieshof farms, a forest road leads to the Upia Alm (2,225 m). From the alpine pasture, the route continues leftwards up the valley to a rock wall, which can be easily crossed through a small passage.
From here, continue over gentle slopes until you reach above the Upia lake. From there, turn left towards the south-facing summit slope, which, due to its steepness, requires good and stable conditions.
The ascent over the summit slope is quite long and therefore requires endurance, but the magnificent panoramic view from the top more than rewards the effort.

The ski tour to the Watles mainly follows a winter hiking trail or runs along the edge of the ski slope, leading to a scenic summit with a magnificent view over the Vinschgau valley basin.
Short description
Ascent within the ski area along the hiking trail
From the valley station of the chairlift (1,740 m) in Prämajur, the tour starts directly from the upper car park on the winter hiking trail leading to the Höferalm. Following the well‑signposted and beautifully laid‑out path, we ascend through a sparse larch forest along the edge of the ski slope to reach the newly built Höferalm. After passing the Höferalm, the slope (use caution!) can be crossed and, below the piste, the ascent track is reached. Following the designated ski tour route along the edge of the piste, the trail continues to the summit of the Watles, where wide‑ranging views of the Upper Vinschgau reward the effort.
Information about the ascent via the ski slope
Outside the operating hours of the ski lifts, particularly in the early morning, the ski slopes may be used for ascent. Please respect the safety regulations and behavioural guidelines.
Tip: An ascent or descent through the Zerzertal valley is also highly rewarding. This alternative route begins or ends at the southern tip of Lake Haidersee. A return journey by public transport from the nearby village of St. Valentin back to the train station in Mals is possible.

The tour to the Piz Chavalatsch is an easy and popular ski tour above the Stilfs Alpine pastures. This tour is characterised by wide and open terrain, making it particularly suitable for the mid‑winter months. However, even in spring, good firn conditions are often still found here.
Short description
The starting point of the ski tour to the Piz Chavalatsch is the Stilfs farms (Falatsches, 1,700 m). The best way to reach the starting point is via Prad, continuing to Gomagoi. Between Gomagoi and Stilfs, turn left onto the road to the Stilfs farms (direction Fragges). Passing the sports field, you will reach the Falatsches farm after about 3 km.
From the bend below the farm, follow a short path, then turn right across a gentle meadow slope to reach the alpine track. Follow this track up to the Upper Stilfs Alm (2,080 m).
From the Alm, traverse long slopes to the right above the stream (V‑valley – avalanche danger!) and continue up the valley. The route then climbs rightwards over hollows and beautiful open slopes, following a ridge and a small crest to the summit slope. The final stretch, usually on the right, leads easily to the summit, marked by a small hut – a former customs guard post.
