Our water world is the absolute highlight of DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat, your wellness hotel in South Tyrol. Our 17-metre indoor infinity pool is directly connected to the heated outdoor whirlpool, making it perfect for both swimming and relaxing. Many of our more sport-minded guests use the pool even before breakfast to ensure a good start to the new day. The early morning is a particularly good time to enjoy a swim in the open air, when the day is just beginning to dawn and the first birds are chirping. Fill your lungs with the invigorating mountain air and recharge your batteries for the day ahead!

The expansive window panes in our panoramic water worlds do not only allow a lot of light in, they also open up unobstructed views overlooking the surrounding mountain worlds which reveal the true beauty of South Tyrol. Such panoramic views at DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat are truly unique - the kind of sweeping vistas that are hard to capture on camera.
Our infinity effect pool adds to the sensation of being able to swim right among the mountain peaks. It doesn't matter whether you're enjoying a dip in the infinity pool, the whirlpool or the outdoor pool (from June 2023) - you'll be able to enjoy the unobstructed views of the Upper Vinschgau and the surrounding mountains throughout the entire water world!

Opening hours
- Indoor Infinity Pool: daily from 06.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
- Outdoor Pool: daily from 07.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 03.00 p.m. to 07.00 p.m.
- Sauna Area: daily from 11:00 a.m. to 07:30 p.m.
- Venosta SPA: daily from 10:30 a.m. to 07:00 p.m.
Outdoor infinity pool
Our dreamlike heated outdoor pool invites you to enjoy a swim under the open sky all year round before relaxing in the surrounding garden area. Our new outdoor nude whirlpool is also a real eye-catcher. Guests can enjoy the mountain landscape with literally all their senses following a soothing sauna session.
