DAS SCHLÖSSL is located in Resia directly at the Lake Resia, in one of the most impressive holiday settings in the Upper Val Venosta. It is only around 200 metres from DAS GERSTL Family Retreat, whose included services you can enjoy in full.

The distance to DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat is about 20 kilometres, or roughly 20 minutes by car. You can also make use of the included services at DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat; we only kindly ask you to reserve the desired services in advance.

How exclusive is the experience really?

• The exclusivity lies in the tranquillity, the limited number of guests (only three suites) and the unique location directly at Lake Resia, combined with all the benefits of the two DAS GERSTL Retreats.

Do I share the garden with other guests?

• Each suite has its own outdoor area (garden/terrace/balcony). The garden is partially visible, but designed in such a way that you can always retreat in privacy.

Why is arrival and departure only possible on Thursdays and Sundays?

• The fixed arrival and departure days are part of our concept and allow us to plan housekeeping, culinary services and experiences in the best possible way – for a calm, well‑organised SCHLÖSSL experience.

Can I rent / book the entire SCHLÖSSL exclusively?

• Yes, it is possible to book the whole house exclusively – ideal for multi‑generation holidays, small weddings, yoga retreats or private celebrations.

• All three suites and the garden area are available exclusively for your group.

Is there a minimum occupancy?

• No, there is no minimum occupancy – you decide how many people will be travelling with you.

What are the cancellation conditions?

• The same cancellation conditions as at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat apply. You will find them clearly outlined in your booking confirmation.

There is no separate restaurant at DAS SCHLÖSSL, but you will find a small area with selected snacks, an honesty bar with drinks and nibbles, as well as reserved tables in the restaurant of DAS GERSTL Family Retreat.

Where do I park first when I arrive?

• You always park your car in the garage at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat. From there, you will be personally accompanied to DAS SCHLÖSSL.

How long is the way from the Family Retreat to DAS SCHLÖSSL?

• The walkway is about 200 m long, leads across the road and through the park, and is easily manageable even with children.

Is the path sheltered from the weather and illuminated?

• The path is illuminated along its entire length; some sections are weather‑protected, others run in the open air.

How does the luggage transport work?

• The DAS GERSTL Unique Team takes care of transporting your luggage from DAS GERSTL Family Retreat to DAS SCHLÖSSL and back again – as quickly as possible after your arrival.

Can I unload directly at DAS SCHLÖSSL?

• No, for organisational and heritage‑protection reasons, parking and unloading are only provided for at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat.

Is there air conditioning?

• No. Thanks to the altitude of around 1,500 m, air conditioning is not necessary; the rooms cool down naturally and pleasantly.

How is the kitchenette equipped?

• Each suite has a small kitchenette with sink, minibar and coffee machine. It is deliberately not a fully equipped holiday‑apartment kitchen with hob, oven or dishwasher. The focus is on hotel‑style comfort with added flexibility.

Is childcare also included for SCHLÖSSL guests?

• Yes, children staying at DAS SCHLÖSSL can use the kids’ programme and childcare at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat with prior registration.

How do children get safely to the Family Retreat?

• The way leads along a short, illuminated footpath and across the road via a pedestrian crossing.

Is baby equipment available?

• Yes, on request we provide a baby cot, high chair and further equipment.

Are the suites childproof, especially the maisonette Suite 803?

• Yes, particular attention was paid to child safety during planning and furnishing. We are happy to advise you regarding any individual needs.

• The spa at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat is located about 200 m from DAS SCHLÖSSL.

Are there areas reserved exclusively for SCHLÖSSL guests?

• Yes, in the restaurant area of the Family Retreat fixed tables are reserved for SCHLÖSSL guests. In DAS SCHLÖSSL itself you enjoy peace and a special level of privacy.

Do I have to reserve wellness slots?

• At the moment no fixed slot reservation is required. For individual treatments (e.g. massages) we kindly ask you to book in advance.

Are bathrobes available directly at DAS SCHLÖSSL?

• Yes, bathrobes and wellness bags are provided for you at DAS SCHLÖSSL.

Can I book private wellness at DAS SCHLÖSSL?

• Yes, massages or treatments in DAS SCHLÖSSL or in the garden are possible on request and for an additional fee.

Are dogs allowed and are there any restrictions?

• Dogs are very welcome at DAS SCHLÖSSL. In the restaurant area, as in the main house, certain zones apply, and in the bar area dogs may accompany you.

What is the cost for dogs?

• 60.00 € per night and dog.

• Yes, a bowl and a blanket are provided in the room for your four‑legged friend.

Are there walking paths directly from DAS SCHLÖSSL?

• You can start your walks right outside the door, either along the lake or into the village.

• No lift and not barrier‑free: this is due to the historic structure of the building and monument protection.
• No separate, full restaurant in DAS SCHLÖSSL: the culinary hub is DAS GERSTL Family Retreat, complemented by special SCHLÖSSL formats such as breakfast box, raclette and fondue.
• Shared kitchen: in addition to the kitchenette in the suites, there is a communal kitchen that can be used on request.
