Our luxury half-board
Connoisseurs will be in foodie heaven with our luxury half board package. Our kitchen team is happy to indulge your taste buds.
Start your day with a rich breakfast with a variety of delicacies. In the afternoon, we indulge you with a range of homemade cakes that are included in our half board package or you can choose a gourmet-dish from our bistro-menu (for an extra fee). We serve a 5- to 6-course menu in the evening. In addition, we offer a selection of vegetarian dishes and healthy nutritional food every day (on demand we also dish out lactose free, gluten free and histamine free options). Unfortunately, we are NOT able to serve up vegan dishes.
Our r30-philosophy sustains the environment and avoids excessive plastic packaging. We strictly adhere to the sourcing of regional products with a maximum distance of 30 km. Our delicacies are produced exclusively from Vinschgau farmers.

Rich breakfast with homemade bread, fresh croissants, a variety of sausage products and cheese from the region, fruits rich in vitamins, farmers’ yogurt, cakes and more.
Tempting cake creations

We will caress your palate of an afternoon with succulent-creamy and soft-fluffy creations from the hotel's very own patisserie. Pick out your favourite and our team will fulfil your sweet wishes, homemade from our patisserie. You order, we serve! Apart from the range of cakes, which is included, you can also order a dish from our bistro menu (for an extra fee).
5 or 6-course evening menu of your choice

Guests can enjoy a 5 or 6-course gourmet evening menu consisting of a selection of traditional South Tyrolean dishes and various Mediterranean creations from Italian cuisine. These culinary compositions are accompanied by a greeting from the kitchen, a varied selection of antipasti and a delicate assortment of cheeses produced by South Tyrolean farmers.

Show Cooking
Once a week, culinary delights are celebrated in a first-class manner at the DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat. A new form of show cooking is offered on this evening. You will be up close and personal as the chefs are in action at several stations, celebrating the art of cooking with high-quality ingredients from the mountains and lake, farm produce and local specialities. Cold and warm starters, the main course with succulent meat, the finest fish dishes and vegetarian delicacies, as well as enchanting desserts fill you with delight on this evening. You can get all the delicacies in person and look over the chefs' shoulders as they prepare them.
But the special look behind the scenes of the kitchen at DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat is by no means everything... Great pop-rock music will put you in a good mood at this special event. Bounce happily through the evening with all your senses.
And as always, it wouldn't be THE GERSTL Alpine Retreat without the solid component r30! In the hotel, one of our r30 producers awaits you in this festive atmosphere. Take the opportunity to get to know his regional products and engage in a friendly connection with our Vinschgau region.

Chef's Table
Closer to culinary delight than ever before
An evening for gourmets, explorers and anyone who wants to experience cuisine with all their senses: at the Chef's Table at DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat, you sit right in the heart of the kitchen – where the magic happens.
Only 2 to 4 guests take part in this special dinner and enjoy watching chef Michael Ziernheld and his team transform the ingredients into artistic compositions. There is laughter, explanations, serving – and you are right in the middle of it all.
The menu remains a secret until the last moment. Course by course, the kitchen team surprises with sophisticated creations, regional products and little highlights that reinterpret the flavours of the Vinschgau Valley.
Each plate is served and explained personally by the chef, and questions are welcome – because here, enjoyment is created by genuine craftsmanship.
On request, you can enjoy an exquisite wine accompaniment to each course, selected by our sommeliers in consultation with our service team, who choose the perfect wines with great sensitivity.
An evening at the Chef's Table is not a classic candlelit dinner, but a lively experience with culinary depth – exclusive, authentic and unforgettable.
